Lauren Husek Achieves Substantial Improvement at High Altitude Lauren Husek demonstrated a significant enhancement in her performance at the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with a finishing time of 4:04:50, improving her pace to 18:19 min/mile. Compared to her 2024 race, Lauren reduced her elapsed time by approximately 32 minutes, previously running at a 20:43 min/mile pace. Her standing also advanced, placing her 401st overall out of 2049 athletes and 91st among females. Notably, she reached 8th place within her division (F40-44), a substantial leap from 36th place the previous year. Lauren navigated the difficult altitude challenges admirably. Noteworthy segments include maintaining a steady pace at the 1.91-mile split (7.8 Summit) in 14:54, despite elevation changes. The last mile, though grueling at 25:55, capped her consistent performance improvement. To elevate her future performances, she might concentrate on the final three miles above the tree line, perhaps experimenting with pacing strategies during this taxing portion to further reduce her finish time.
