Steady Climb Through the Altitude Carson Choy maintained consistent performance throughout the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent. With an elapsed time of 5:36:26 and pace of 25:10 min/mile, he completed the 13.36-mile trail reaching elevations up to 14,061 feet. Notable progress was seen as he climbed from 1,624th place at the start to 1,289th overall at the finish, finishing 117th in his age division. Choy showed commendable endurance, particularly between Barr Camp and the A-Frame, where he improved his pace to 15:23 min/mile. Though the final miles above tree line showed more challenging split times, such as 38:53 min/mile in the last stretch, he maintained a steady effort under high-altitude conditions. Further focus on altitude training could enhance performance in the final miles. Overall, Carson demonstrated resilience and strong pacing in a race marked by significant elevation changes.
