Impressive Time Improvement and Strategic Pacing Priscilla Buchanan displayed a commendable performance at the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon. She completed the 13.36-mile course with an elapsed time of 3:51:32 and an average pace of 17:19 min/mile, demonstrating a significant improvement over last year's time of 4:34:27 and pace of 20:32 min/mile. This year, Priscilla not only improved her placing from overall 633rd to 302nd, but she also moved from 153rd to 61st in gender, and from 23rd to 9th in her age division (F35-39). Her strategic patience and pacing were evident, specifically in the early parts of the race. Notably, she maintained a strong start with a split pace of 8:40 in the first segment from start to Ruxton, and then at Hydro Street, holding a pace of 10:23. Though her pace understandably slowed on the ascent, maintaining a consistent effort led to a consistent overall performance.
