Consistent Performance Amidst Altitude Challenges Emily Fischer, 36, from Colorado Springs, participated in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon. She completed the course in 3:35:02, marking an elapsed pace of 16:05 min/mile over the 13.36-mile distance. Notably, she placed 6th in her F35-39 division. The altitude was a significant factor in this race, with the elevation climbing from 6303 feet at the start to 14061 feet at the finish. Her splits show steadily increasing times, typical for such a demanding elevation change. From the "2 Miles To Go" marker, the pace slowed to 21:51 min/mile, culminating in a final split pace of 22:17 min/mile at the finish. Compared to her 2024 performance, where she secured a 3rd place in the same division with a time of 3:22:58, this year's race was a bit slower.
