Consistent Performance with Strong Mid-Race Positions Jenny Allen finished the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon in 5:12:23, covering 13.36 miles with an elapsed pace of 23:22 min/mile. She consistently maintained her position, starting 871st and maintaining around the mid-800s - 1000s for much of the race before finishing 1097th out of 2049 participants. Throughout the ascent from Monument, Colorado, Jenny kept her spots fairly steady in the Female 50-54 Division, moving from 28th at the start to 22nd at the finish. Jenny showed resilience during the climb above the tree line, where splits slowed significantly due to increased elevation and fatigue. Despite a challenging final stretch, she completed the last 0.5257 miles in 19:38 with a slower pace of 37:22 min/mile. Holding her best position at 857th around No Name Creek (4.48 miles) displays her strong performance mid-race. Focusing on strategic pacing ascends and optimizing the steeper segments could improve future performance.
