Solid Performance and Resilience in High Altitude Conditions Adam Neely tackled the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with determination, finishing the 13.36-mile challenging course in 4:56:19. With an average pace of 22:10 min/mile, Adam navigated the steep elevation change from around 6000 feet to over 14000 feet. He began strong, taking 4:02 to complete the first 0.43 miles at an impressive 9:23 pace. Noteworthy is Adam's significant split at 7.8 Summit, maintaining a steady pace of 18:17 over 1.57 miles, reflecting his stamina under demanding circumstances. The final miles posed challenges above the tree line, with an elevation of over 12000 feet. The ascent from 1.5 miles to the finish saw split times ranging from 12:21 to 16:05, with split paces varying between 27:57 and 30:36. Despite the difficulty, Adam's persistence was evident with a strong finish in the upper half of his age division, placing 59th in O50-54. Consistent pacing in the uphill segments shows promise for future improvements.
