Impressive Climb Despite Slower Pace in Final Miles Rebekah Macaskill recorded an elapsed time of 5:35:53 over the 13.36-mile Pikes Peak Ascent, finishing 431st out of 599 women and 60th in her F40-44 age division. Starting strong, Rebekah moved from 599th to 392nd in her gender by Ruxton, with a split pace of 10:34 min/mile. Maintaining steady progress, she improved to 340th by Hydro Street. Throughout the ascent, Rebekah consistently climbed in classification. Despite slower split times in the final miles, Rebekah conquered significant elevation, with her most challenging section between Barr Camp and Bottomless Pit having a split pace of 39:49 min/mile. The final push to the finish was completed at an average pace of 25:08 min/mile. Notably, despite the increasing challenge, she moved up to 374th in her gender by the "1 Mile To Go" mark and concluded the race 431st in her gender by the finish. Rebekah demonstrated a commendable ability to sustain her effort throughout the mountainous, high-altitude course.
