Steady Progress at High Altitude Challenge Kristin Schumann completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 4:34:09 and an overall pace of 20:31 min/mile. Notably, her performance placed her 24th in the F25-29 division among 2049 participants. Early on, Kristin's pace was strong with a 9:13 min/mile split at Ruxton, marked by a rapid rise to the 21st position in her division. As the race progressed, the splits reflected a gradual increase in pace, particularly on the steeper, higher-altitude sections. Observing the splits above tree line, the pace slowed notably, with the final mile completed in 31:35 min/mile. During this challenging section, Kristin adeptly maintained her division position, finishing 24th. Tracking progression through differing elevations can enhance future training focuses.
