Consistent Climb, Solid Finish Aubree Shurtz completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with a total elapsed time of 5:52:21 over a 13.36-mile course, achieving an overall pace of 26:22 min/mile. Starting strongly in 275th place among female participants at the starting point, she reached Ruxton at a quick pace of 11:12 min/mile. Her performance displayed strategic consistency, highlighted by a steady progression to the summit. She moved up significantly by the time she reached Barr Camp with a split pace of 16:18 min/mile, a standout amidst the tough trajectory. The last three miles presented increased elevations and challenges, resulting in slower paces such as 42:19 min/mile at Bottomless Pit. However, Aubree maintained her competitive edge, finishing 480th in her gender category and 84th in her division (F35-39). Notably, her performance improved prominently from the "1.5 Miles To Go" marker where she jumped from 776th to 1383rd in place by the finish, suggesting significant determined effort.
