Consistent Climb to a Strong Finish Philip Swintek tackled the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with a final time of 4:17:30, maintaining a steady pace throughout the race. He averaged a pace of 19:16 min/mile over the 13.36-mile course. Starting with a brisk 8:55 min/mile pace at Ruxton, Philip showed strong initial momentum. His placement significantly improved from the start, where he was at 1396th overall, moving up to 526th by the finish line. Showing resilience in the latter stages, where climbing became more demanding, Philip navigated from Barr Camp to the finish—approximately gaining over 3800 feet in elevation. His splits reveal an adaptive strategy; despite a slowing pace on steep sections, consistent placing in the O40-44 division at 52nd demonstrates tenacity and efficiency. His efforts, particularly in traversing the final three miles above the tree line in progressively slower but steady paces, highlight an excellent management of altitude challenges.
