Consistent Pace and Steady Progression at High Altitudes Joseph Drabik completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent in 4:41:16, covering a distance of 13.36 miles with an average pace of 21:03 min/mile. The race started at 6,303 feet elevation and climbed to 14,061 feet. Joseph began in the 1730th position overall, improving steadily throughout. Notably, Joseph maintained a top 700 position overall from the halfway point onward, finishing strongly in 782nd place. While Joseph's early splits showed strong pacing, notably a 10:14 min/mile pace at Ruxton, altitude and elevation gains saw pacing slow in later miles. The demanding final section from A-Frame (11,933 feet) to the summit resulted in split paces ranging between 26:05 to 32:43 min/mile. Improving acclimatization to high altitudes could further enhance future performance. Despite these challenges, Joseph's ability to maintain consistent rankings within his division and gender demonstrates commendable perseverance and endurance.
