Steady Climb to the Finish Leah Brooks demonstrated a strong effort in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, crossing the finish line with an impressive time of 4:59:34. This result positions her 38th in the F45-49 age division, out of 93 starters, and 288th overall in the women's category. Her overall pace was 22:25 min/mile for the 13.36-mile ascent. Leah began by advancing from 1724 overall at the start to 986 by the end, showing determination on this demanding course. Leah's steady progression in the early stages saw her climbing as high as 793rd at the 12.31-mile mark, where the elevation reached over 13,300 feet. Although her pace naturally slowed in the final section due to steep inclines and altitude, she maintained her position. Noteworthy was the early pace adjustments and consistent improvements in placement, especially during the mid-section of the race that aided her in a resilient finish. Her persistent effort from the Bottomless Pit split onward highlights her strong mental and physical endurance.
