Consistent Climb with Strong Finish Mid-Race Mathilde Sloan completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon in a time of 3:39:02, with an average pace of 16:23 min/mile over 13.36 miles. She ranked 215th overall, 45th among female participants, and 10th in the female 20-24 age division. Starting strong, Mathilde was placed 143rd at the start, but settled into a consistent pace reaching the Top of W's checkpoint at 3.2 miles in 40:19, with a pace of 14:59 min/mile. Between miles 10.29 to 10.84, Mathilde recorded one of her slower split paces at 19:09 min/mile, but reclaimed speed as she approached the finish. Notably, her placement improved in the challenging final stretch from 11.41 miles to the finish, showing an impressive increase in consistency and ranking from 228th at the 2 Miles To Go mark to 215th at the end. Focus on maintaining mid-race momentum could enhance overall results in future events.
