Steady Climb to the Finish Bibek Ghimire, age 35 from Colorado Springs, completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an impressive elapsed time of 5:22:34. Covering a total distance of 13.36 miles, his pace was 24:08 min/mile. Despite tough elevation gains, climbing from 6,303 feet to 14,061 feet, he maintained a steady progression. His best split pace was 12:04 min/mile at Ruxton, while facing more challenging splits above the tree line, markedly at the final stretch where his pace varied between 30:00 and 35:00 min/mile. Bibek's ranking shifted throughout the race, beginning at 1177th overall but showing perseverance by moving to 1189th by the finish. Notably, around the "1.5 Miles To Go" mark, his overall place improved significantly to 652nd, demonstrating a strong effort in the latter stages of the race. Continued focus on pace management could enhance future performances on similarly demanding courses.
