Steady Progression on a Challenging Ascent Christina Cline demonstrated consistent determination throughout the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent. Beginning at an elevation of 6,303 feet and the starting line in 1,466th position, she advanced steadily. By the time she reached Hydro Street at an elevation of 6,649 feet, Christina moved up to 1,244th overall and 12th in her division. Her initial paces ranged around 10:52 min/mile at Ruxton and 13:30 min/mile by Hydro Street, setting a positive tone for the climb ahead. As Christina approached the final challenging miles, her pace naturally adjusted to the altitude, climbing beyond 12,000 feet. Her splits in these high-altitude sections averaged between 26 and 32 min/mile. Despite the demanding conditions, Christina maintained composure, completing the ascent in 5:08:14. Her steady effort placed her 12th in the F60-64 division. Continuing to work on pacing strategies in high-altitude environments could yield even more gains. Her strong finish shows promising potential.
