Impressive Division Finish for Kaitlin at Pikes Peak Ascent Kaitlin Nats completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon with an elapsed time of 3:25:11, averaging a pace of 15:21 min/mile over the 13.36-mile distance. She achieved an impressive 2nd place in her division (F25-29) out of a challenging field and ranked 25th among females overall. Notably, her PR splits included 7:31 for the Ruxton section, which helped her maintain competitive placement early on. Kaitlin's performance exhibited strategic pacing. She tackled the early elevation gain efficiently, maintaining a sub-14:00 minute pace up to the Top of W's checkpoint at 3.2 miles. Although the last segments above the tree line saw a decrease in pace due to the combination of elevation and fatigue, she maintained strong divisional positioning. Improvements could explore maintaining the pace established earlier for longer durations.
