Consistent Performance with Improved Time Amy Driskill, age 52 from Haysville, Kansas, completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon in 4:26:58. This event posed an elevation gain from 6303 feet to over 14000 feet. Notably, Amy finished in 8th place in her division (F50-54) among 2049 participants. Her performance improved from the previous year, reducing her time by over five minutes compared to her 2024 performance of 4:32:35. Her elapsed pace stood at 19:58 min/mile, reflecting an improvement from last year's 20:24 min/mile. Amy's split times show a steady pace despite the challenging elevation, with notable sections like the "Top of W's" reached at 48:20 and "Barr Camp" at 2:13:00. A particular area for focus could be the final ascent, where split times increased to 27:34 min/mile.
