Notable Time Improvement on Pike's Elevations Nicholas Miner showcased significant progress in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon. Completing the 13.36-mile course with challenging altitude climb in 4:05:59, Nicholas improved his pace to 18:24 min/mile, down from 19:49 min/mile in 2024, resulting in a time gain of 18 minutes and 49 seconds over last year's performance. Notably, during the early stages, his pace began at a steady 9:24 min/mile near Ruxton and remained strong up to 7.8 Summit, where his split pace was 14:07. As the altitude and demands intensified, notable pace adjustments were observed, especially in the last three miles, reaching a peak altitude of 14,061 feet. A split pace of 25:35 min/mile marked the final stretch but resulted in Nicholas's placing at 411th overall among 2049 participants. Consistent pacing and effort at early stages helped maintain his position, marking a considerable improvement from the previous year in the overall category.
