Strong Start and Consistent Effort on Pike's Peak Challenge Hailey Elliott, 20, from Gunnison, CO, completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with a final time of 4:50:17. Her overall pace was 21:43 per mile. Hailey finished 20th in her division (F20-24) and 246th among females. Starting strong, she quickly advanced to 364th overall and 78th among females by Ruxton, posting a swift 8:21 pace. By Hydro Street, she was positioned 631st overall and 148th among females. Elevations brought significant challenges. At Barr Camp, the pace remained steady with times within the 18 to 25-minute range per mile. Beyond the tree line, Hailey managed remaining splits at around 25 to 31 minutes per mile, reaching the finish at an elevation of 14,061 feet. Notably, her positioning improved during sections with increased elevation difficulty, suggesting effective pacing. Next time, focusing on maintaining pace in final miles may enhance performance further at altitude.
