Consistent Climb and Solid Finish Ross Serven completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 3:12:44 and an overall pace of 14:25 min/mile. Ross impressively improved his division standing, securing 4th place in the O40-44 category out of 2049 total participants. Maintaining a steady position throughout was evident. Focusing on splits, Ross displayed a solid beginning, hitting Ruxton at a pace of 7:45 min/mile. As expected with the challenging ascent, Ross's pacing gradually slowed, showing consistency in pace while advancing to higher elevations. The final miles were at a 19:02 min/mile pace, displaying determined effort to manage altitude adjustments. Considering previous performance, where Ross achieved a slightly faster elapsed pace of 14:07 min/mile, this year's consistent splits and division rank indicate commendable strength. Continuing to focus on pacing strategies, especially in the early steep segments, could enhance his performance even further.
