Consistent Effort on a Tough Course with High Altitude Jenna FitzGerald completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with a total elapsed time of 5:01:06, marking an average pace of 22:32 min/mile over the 13.36-mile course. Her performance saw her landing 22nd in the F20-24 division in a field of 2049 participants. This effort was particularly notable given the significant altitude gain, finishing at 14,061 feet. Jenna displayed a strong initial pace, covering the first 0.43 miles at Ruxton at a brisk 10:07 min/mile. As the altitude increased, her pace adjusted accordingly, especially over the final challenging three miles starting from A-Frame at 11,933 feet, where her pace ranged from 25:39 to 33:10 min/mile. Notably, she improved her standing from 295th to 271st in her gender during the penultimate segment from "2 Miles To Go" marker to "0.5 Miles To Go". This demonstrates her resilience in maintaining a steady effort despite elevation challenges.
