Consistent Improvement in High Altitude Challenge Ryan Cobb, a seasoned runner from Wayne, PA, demonstrated remarkable progress at the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, improving his previous year's performance by an impressive 16 minutes and 36 seconds. His overall time of 3:34:59 resulted in an average pace of 16:05 min/mile, significantly faster than the previous year's 17:20 min/mile pace. Ryan's disciplined start is noteworthy, moving from 949th overall to 122nd place after the first 0.43 miles at Ruxton. As the race progressed into higher altitudes, Ryan maintained a strong position. He showed consistent endurance by advancing from 242nd to 214th place around the 10.84-mile mark at "2.5 Miles To Go." Notably, his strategic pacing allowed him to boost his position to 87th overall at "1.5 Miles To Go," although adjustments were needed thereafter. Continued focus on maintaining momentum in the final high-altitude miles could lead to even greater achievements in future races.
