Strong Performance in High Altitude Jen Lo demonstrated remarkable perseverance in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, finishing the half marathon in 4:50:55. Her ability to maintain a steady pace throughout various elevation levels was impressive. Jen, aged 52 from Littleton, CO, placed 16th in the F50-54 age division. Her overall rank was 885th out of 2049 participants, and she secured the 253rd position among female runners. Jen's performance at higher altitudes reflected her strengths. Notably, she improved positions gradually, starting at 1479th place overall and finishing strong. Her split times indicate strategic pacing, especially on the ascent from Barr Camp to Bottomless Pit with a 13:50 min/mile split. Although her pace understandably slowed in the last challenging miles above the tree line, her determination remained evident. For future races, a focus on segmenting challenging sections may refine climbing consistency further.
