Consistent Effort in High Altitudes Amy Kelly showcased perseverance in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent amidst the elevation challenge. Managing an overall elapsed time of 7:21:07, she maintained her composure over the 13.36-mile trail. Her pace of 33:01 min/mile reflects the demanding nature of the ascent from 6303 feet to 14061 feet above sea level. Starting strong at Ruxton with a 10:44 min/mile pace, she found herself at the 1294th overall place, eventually adjusting her performance as altitude increased. Notably, from 12.31 miles to the finish line, Amy tackled altitudes reaching over 13,000 feet, displaying grit with notably slower paces at these high elevations. Amy achieved 52nd place in her F50-54 division. Her pace slowed significantly post 10-mile mark; focusing on split pacing strategies above the tree line could enhance her performance.
