Strong Start, Challenging Finish Abhinand Shankar, a 45-year-old participant from Dallas, TX, completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon in a commendable time of 5:02:43. The race spanned 13.36 miles with an elapsed pace of 22:39 min/mile. Notably, he achieved a significant early burst during the first 0.43 miles to Ruxton, clocking a 9:00 min/mile pace. This performance enabled him to rapidly climb the rankings to 560th overall, 422nd in gender, and 41st in his division. The elevation increase presented notable difficulty, evidenced by slower paces in high-altitude segments.
