Consistent Climb and Strong Finish on Pikes Peak Sam Enos, a 24-year-old runner from Denver, recorded a total time of 3:47:31 in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon, which covered a distance of 13.36 miles. This impressive run placed Sam 268th out of 2049 participants. The journey from start to finish saw an elevation gain from 6303 feet to 14061 feet. Sam's incremental splits showcased consistency, particularly maintaining strong placements from the beginning at Ruxton (3:39, 8:29 pace) through to the final stretch at the Finish (12:19, 23:26 pace), placing 26th in the Open 20-24 division. In the early stages, Sam's first split to Ruxton marked a competitive pace of 8:29, quickly advancing from the starting placement of 935th overall to 398th. Up to No Name Creek, a strong pace ensured advancement, eventually positioning within the top third in gender and division categories by 10.29 miles. Continuing to focus on pacing and positioning can further enhance the final stretches significantly in successive races.
