Consistent Effort on a Demanding Journey Sarah Gibson, from Bel Aire, KS, completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 6:18:11 over 13.36 miles, averaging a pace of 28:18 per mile. Starting strong at the Ruxton aid station with an 11:33 pace, she maintained determination despite challenges that arose with increasing elevation. By the time she reached No Name Creek 4.48 miles in, her pace settled at 23:55 per mile. Climbing higher, Sarah handled the steep ascent, reaching Barr Camp with an improved split pace of 19:23. During the final miles above the tree line, which began at A-Frame, Sarah faced significant elevation at 11,933 feet. Here, her pacing slowed to 36:36 and further decelerated near the summit at an elevation of 14,061 feet, finishing with a pace of 41:59.
