Consistent Pacing and Strong Finish at High Altitude Claire Nichols tackled the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, covering 13.36 miles with an elapsed time of 6:22:43 at an average pace of 28:38 min/mile. Her performance placed her 1575th overall out of 2049 participants and 582nd in her gender category, while she took 64th position in her division for females aged 25-29. Starting at an elevation of 6303 feet and climbing to the finish at 14,061 feet, Claire showed remarkable persistence through the altitudes and elevations. Throughout the race, Claire maintained steady splits, the fastest between Ruxton and Hydro Street at a swift 11:44 min/mile pace. Despite the altitude increase, she adjusted skillfully as shown by maintaining a 34:08 min/mile pace approaching the final two and a half miles and finished the last stretch with a 41:41 min/mile pace.
