Steady Mid-Race Climb Seals Finish Conor Hussey completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 3:55:44 over a distance of 13.36 miles, maintaining an average pace of 17:38 min/mile. Notably, Hussey's overall position improved significantly after a slower start, rising from 806th place to finish 334th out of 2049 participants overall. His consistent progress through the ranks was particularly evident between the "Start" and "2.5 Miles To Go", with gradual improvement in placement. The climbing segments around "7.8 Summit" and "Barr Camp" were performed at a steady pace, allowing Hussey to maintain his position in the top third of his Division O25-29, finishing 32nd. However, as the course ascended to higher altitudes, Hussey experienced a slower pace, especially through the final challenging miles. The focus going forward could be on improving endurance in high-altitude conditions, which would enhance overall performance in such challenging segments.
