Consistent and Steady Ascent to the Summit Clifford Breyel completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon in an impressive elapsed time of 5:01:21. Starting at 6303 feet, Clifford made robust progress by reaching Ruxton with a swift 9:48 min/mile pace, showing remarkable efficiency early on. At Hydro Street, his pace steadied to 13:15 min/mile, which positioned him 1100th overall and 39th in his division. In the challenging final stretch above the tree line, Clifford maintained consistent performance. Notably, from "1 Mile To Go" to "Finish," he covered 1.03 miles in 47:03 minutes, managing at high elevation. Although the final segment slowed to a 36:47 min/mile pace, Clifford retained his division position consistently at 28 or 27 throughout. Highlighting endurance and experience, Clifford finished 28th in his O60-64 age division, a testament to his resilience and consistent pacing strategy. Excellent effort in maintaining a steady pace across a challenging course terrain.
