Solid Effort Over Rising Terrain Brandon Lockhart completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, traversing 13.36 miles with a total of 6,000 feet of elevation gain in 5:27:43. His average pace was 24:31 min/mile. Starting strong at the early splits, he maintained a solid pace nearing Ruxton and Hydro Street with times of 9:00 min/mile and 11:08 min/mile, respectively. His ranking began at 649 overall and adjusted through the race, finishing at 1223 overall. In the demanding final segments above the tree line, Brandon experienced the expected pacing challenges. The steady climb from A-Frame to the finish saw his pace shift to upwards of 30 min/mile, a notable reduction reflecting the high-altitude conditions. Initial placements in his division showed promise, moving from 58th to 140th by the race's end.
