Significant Improvement in Performance and Consistent Pace Zubin's performance in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent showcased a substantial improvement from last year, with a finish time of 4:51:54, cutting approximately 39 minutes from his previous time of 5:30:49. His overall place increased from 1162 to 901. Impressively, his pace at the starting point was 10:03 per mile, and he maintained a consistent progress throughout, despite the challenges presented by the increasing altitude and distance. The last mile before the finish witnessed a slower pace of 35:00 per mile, which is a common occurrence due to the steep elevation of 14,061 feet. Notably, reaching the '1 Mile To Go' mark with a split time of 26:08 showed persistence at high altitudes. Although the final stretches were slower, maintaining an even pace through earlier segments sets a solid foundation for possible future improvements. Focus on adapting to the altitude could bring about better results in upcoming races.
