Steady Improvement Marks the Ascent In the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, Manuel Huaman impressively improved over last year's performance. He completed the half marathon in 4:24:33 with a pace of 19:48 min/mile, reducing his time by almost 3 minutes compared to 2024. His pace highlights his ability to persevere despite challenging conditions at high altitude. Manuel started strong, recording a swift 8:49 min/mile pace at the Ruxton checkpoint and maintaining a solid position in the top third overall by this point. Although the course elevation increases significantly, Manuel managed his strategy by pacing effectively, with the slowest split reaching 28:13 min/mile at 2.5 miles to the finish, reflecting the demanding conditions. Manuel's placement saw a minor change, finishing 597th out of 2049 participants, consistent with the increased difficulty and competition.
