Consistent Pace Uphill on Pikes Peak Jerad Winsett completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 5:13:47, ranking 1115th out of 2049 participants. He maintained an overall pace of 23:29 minutes per mile throughout the 13.36-mile course. Starting the race strong, Jerad's first recorded split at Ruxton showed a pace of 10:00 minutes per mile, his fastest segment. Jerad faced challenges as the elevation increased. From the start at 6303 feet, he reached the summit at 14061 feet. Notably, the final half-mile split, "0.5 Miles To Go," recorded an elevation gain of over 300 feet, significantly affecting pace, which increased to 31:36 minutes per mile. His ability to maintain pacing in varied elevation speaks to his endurance. Gradual pacing allowed Jerad to progressively move up in placings, finishing 131st in his age group and 772nd in the gender category.
