Consistent Performance in Pikes Peak Ascent Sydney Wegner completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon with an elapsed time of 5:12:29, covering 13.36 miles at an average pace of 23:23 min/mile. She finished 338th among female participants and 52nd in the F30-34 division. This year, Sydney placed 1101 overall out of 2049 participants. Comparing to the previous year, her overall time increased slightly from 5:04:53 to 5:12:29, and her pace decreased from 22:49 min/mile. During the ascension, Sydney maintained a strong pace early on, recording a remarkable 10:48 min/mile between the start and Ruxton. The last three miles, above the tree line, proved challenging. Between "2 Miles To Go" and the "Finish," her pace ranged from 26:50 to 32:48 min/mile. Keeping a more steady pace or implementing targeted hill training could enhance future performances on altitude-heavy courses like Pikes Peak. However, Sydney's sustained commitment showcases impressive endurance and resilience.
