Stellar Climb at High Altitude Ashley Howell, competing in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, completed the 13.36-mile course with an elapsed time of 4:12:05, averaging a pace of 18:52 min/mile. Starting strong from Wichita, KS, she moved up significantly in the rankings, progressing from 886th at the start to 476th overall at the finish among a field of 2049 participants. Her performance placed her 19th in her age division F35-39, 107th among females. The course began at 6303 feet and steadily climbed to 14,061 feet. Ashley's consistency was evident as she made significant advancements between key checkpoints. Notably, she climbed from 249th to 476th overall during the last three miles. Although the challenging altitude increased her split time to 26:37 for the final segment, maintaining such momentum under those conditions is commendable. Consistent pacing within the first half could further optimize performance in future races.
