Consistent Effort Amidst Elevation Challenges Sam Peters completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent in 5:08:28, covering the 13.36-mile course with an elapsed pace of 23:05 min/mile. Starting strong at the beginning, Sam initially maintained swift progress, notably completing the first 0.43 miles at Ruxton with a respectable 10:21 min/mile pace. As the course ascended, challenging sections like the stretch from Barr Camp to Bottomless Pit saw slowed progress, with split paces ranging from 18:06 to 22:54 min/mile. Compared to last year, Sam's finish time saw a slight increase, up from 5:04:31 in 2024. Her performance remained steady, with a marginal drop in division placement from 30th to 37th in the F25-29 category. Notable improvements can be seen in certain segments, as at the "1.5 Miles To Go" mark, her placement peaked at 22nd in division, demonstrating potential for pacing adjustment in the latter stages of the race.
