Impressive Climb to the Top Cathy Everson tackled the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with a final time of 6:06:10, covering a distance of 13.36 miles and climbing from 6,000 to over 14,000 feet. She maintained a consistent average pace of 27:24 min/mile, with an overall placement of 1483 out of 2049 participants. Notably, Cathy performed exceptionally within her age group, finishing 8th in the Female 65-69 category. Cathy's initial splits showed a favorable start, with a pace of 11:17 min/mile at Ruxton and 15:10 min/mile at Hydro Street. However, as the course increased in elevation, her pace naturally slowed, reaching 46:29 min/mile by the finish. Despite these challenging conditions, Cathy effectively navigated the high-altitude terrain, particularly around the final climb past the 10,000-foot mark. Focusing on maintaining consistent paces at higher altitudes could further enhance her performance in future races.
