Consistent Effort in High Altitude Jessy Jimenez successfully completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with a reported elapsed time of 6:30:15. Covering a distance of 13.36 miles, Jessy achieved an average pace of 29:12 minutes per mile. The race began at 6303 feet and climbed to a peak elevation of 14061 feet. Early in the race, Jessy showed a speedy performance reaching Ruxton at a pace of 9:15 min/mile. However, as expected with such extreme altitudes, there was a gradual slowdown, notably between Bottomless Pit and A-Frame where the pace decreased to 50:08 min/mile. Jessy faced a well-fought journey through higher altitudes with notable efforts in maintaining a consistent pace towards the finish. The leg between 1.5 Miles To Go and 1 Mile To Go saw a challenging moment with the pace at 56:17 min/mile, which significantly improved towards the finish. Continued focus on high altitudes could help in reducing times in future events.
