Consistent Performance and Strong Finish Despite High Elevation Challenges Courtney Hafer completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon in 4:47:28. Her pace was 21:31 min/mile over the 13.36-mile distance, achieving 839th place overall and 232nd among females, out of a total of 2049 participants. Notably, she placed 34th in her F40-44 age category. Courtney maintained a strong pace through the beginning of the race, averaging 9:40 min/mile at Ruxton. Her pace understandably slowed as elevation increased, with splits reaching 30:07 min/mile at the 1.5 miles to go marker. Nevertheless, she showed significant effort in her final climb, suggesting resilience in high-altitude conditions. For improved performance, focusing on maintaining pace consistency during the uphill sections may enhance results in future events.
