Strong Finish for Eberly in Pikes Peak Ascent Joshua Eberly, 44, from Gunnison, CO, delivered an impressive performance at the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon. He completed the race in 2:31:41, maintaining a steady overall pace of 11:21 min/mile. Within a field of 2049 participants, Eberly finished 10th overall, 10th among men, and first in the Masters category. Starting strong, Joshua quickly positioned himself at 12th place by Ruxton with a swift 5:50 min/mile pace, demonstrating effective pacing strategy early in the race. The latter part of the race posed notable elevation challenges. The last 2 miles proved tough with paces around 15:30 to 16:55 min/mile as he ascended over 3000 feet from Barr Camp, finishing at 14061 feet. Despite this, Eberly showcased resilience, maintaining consistent placement among leading runners and securing his first-place Master’s division finish.
