Consistent Effort with Noticeable Improvement Paul Reeck completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon in 6:30:52. His elapsed pace was 29:15 min/mile over 13.36 miles, an improvement from 2024 where he clocked in at 6:43:08 with a pace of 30:10 min/mile. At Ruxton (0.43 miles, 6,355 feet), Paul's pace was an impressive 10:34 min/mile, but like many, he slowed considerably as he gained elevation, reflecting the challenging nature of the climb. His progression towards the finish showcases his perseverance. By the 1.5 Miles To Go mark at 13,024 feet, his rank skyrocketed momentarily to 859 overall. However, the punishing altitude meant his final stretch pace slowed to 40:15 min/mile, ending at 14,061 feet. When comparing his current performance to last year's race, Paul's ability to maintain a better average pace illustrates positive development in handling the high-altitude demands of this race.
