Steady Progress up the Mountain Heather Turtle finished the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon with an elapsed time of 4:13:01. She tackled the 13.36-mile distance at an 18:56 min/mile pace, climbing from 6,303 to 14,061 feet. Her progression throughout the race showed remarkable consistency, especially from "Top of W's" to "7.8 Summit," where her split pace only varied slightly, with a dip in places from 582 overall at "Top of W's" to 550 at "7.8 Summit." Heather maintained her speed well compared to others, particularly during initial stages, advancing significantly in terms of overall placement from 1,606 at the start to finishing 485th. One potential focus for improvement could be on the final stretch of the course, where her split pace gradually rose from 22:05 min/mile at "2.5 Miles To Go" to 28:30 min/mile at the finish.
