Consistent Effort in a High-Altitude Challenge Kimberly Province completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with a total elapsed time of 5:44:51 over a distance of 13.36 miles, achieving an overall pace of 25:48 minutes per mile. Starting strongly, she improved her positions initially, moving from 1642nd to 1357th overall by the "Top of W's" 3.2-mile mark. Her performance remained consistent as she navigated elevation changes and fatigue, marking significant progress in the first half of the race. Her pace fluctuated as the altitude increased, notably slowing to a 44:22 pace in the final split. The last three miles, largely above the tree line, were particularly tough, reflecting a 23:19 finish segment. Despite the challenges, Kimberly secured commendable placements: 466th among females and 63rd in the F45-49 division. An in-depth focus on the final segments above 12,000 feet may provide opportunities to manage her pace more effectively in similar future events.
