Remarkable Climb with Consistent Pacing Teo Jackson made impressive progress in this year's 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent over last year's performance, completing the race in 2:50:33. That’s a significant improvement from 2024's time of 3:07:04, dropping the elapsed pace from 14:00 min/mile to 12:45 min/mile. Teo's consistency in maintaining a strong pace in his division helped him secure 2nd place in the highly competitive O35-39 age group, finishing 30th overall out of 2049 participants. The elevation gain in this half marathon is formidable, with the altitude increasing from 6303 feet at the start to 14,061 feet at the finish. Notably, Teo began with a quick pace, clocking 6:03 min/mile to Ruxton, and maintained impressive splits early in the race. As the altitude increased, his pace naturally slowed, but he managed strategic gains, moving up in divisions, especially evident in the section between Barr Camp and Bottomless Pit. Continued refinement in lower-altitude segments could further optimize overall results.
