Strong Finish with Impressive Placement in Age Division Richard Park, aged 72 and hailing from Colorado Springs, CO, showcased resilience and strength during the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon. He completed the challenging 13.36-mile course in an elapsed time of 4:33:35, achieving a pace of 20:28 min/mile. This performance secured him an admirable 2nd place in his age division (O70-74) from a field of 2049 participants. Notably, Richard improved his ranking in the division from last year’s 5th place to 2nd place. His dedication and consistent pacing in the highest altitudes are commendable. Richard's splits demonstrate strategic pacing, crucial in handling the altitude and course gradient.
