Significant Improvement and Consistent Performance Crystal Sant completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an impressive time of 4:10:28, shaving off 2:01:45 from her previous year’s performance. Her elapsed pace was 18:44 min/mile over the race distance of 13.36 miles. Crystal finished 101st among females and 17th in her F35-39 division out of 2049 total participants. Notable is her advancement from 1415th place overall in 2024 to 458th in 2025, marking a significant improvement. Analyzing the splits, Crystal maintained a strong pace in the early stages. Initial splits showed fast times, such as a 9:12 min/mile pace at Ruxton. As she climbed higher, her pace slowed, as anticipated, with the final split at a 25:27 min/mile pace near 14,000 feet. Crystal’s consistent pacing, particularly through the challenging final miles, indicates strong endurance and effective altitude adjustment. With further focus on maintaining speed above the tree line, Crystal can continue to enhance her performance.
