Consistent Performance with Strong Splits in High Altitude Rick Webb completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 3:11:51, maintaining an average pace of 14:21 min/mile over the 13.36-mile course. This time placed him 82nd overall out of 2049 participants. Among his division (O35-39), he secured the 14th position. Though his race completion time was slightly longer compared to the previous year’s 3:07:43, Rick managed to keep a solid position throughout, particularly around competitiors within his division bracket. Rick made a strong start, reaching Ruxton with a pace of 7:05 and maintained a competitive position in his division initially. A notable split occurred at "1.5 Miles To Go", where a rapid leap in placement was observed, improving to 37th before finishing again at 82nd. The final mile was managed with a pace of 19:48 despite the significant elevation jump to 14,061 feet at the finish, showcasing his capability to handle altitude and elevation gain effectively.
