Strong Climb with a Personal Best Brad Fiala, a 44-year-old from Colorado Springs, CO, experienced an impressive climb at the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon. He improved his finish time to 2:56:22, shaving off almost two minutes from the previous year’s performance of 2:58:16. His pace of 13:12 min/mile reflects strategic advancements, with noticeable consistency in his performance across all segments. Notably, he secured 3rd place in the Master’s Division. From the start, Brad climbed well, moving from a 122nd position to consistently securing a top-50 position. His split times reveal managed efforts, particularly at the "No Name Creek" and "7.8 Summit" where he maintained paces of 12:21 and 11:11 min/mile, respectively. His ascent remained strong even above the treeline, finishing with a 19:23 min/mile pace. Focus on fine-tuning the final stretch could yield further improvement.
