Consistent Climb with a Strong Middle Section Jeremy Haughton completed the Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon impressively with an overall time of 3:43:02 at a pace of 16:41 min/mile. Climbing from 6,303 to over 14,000 feet, he placed 14th in his division (45-49), leaving behind 2,049 participants overall. Notably, Jeremy had an excellent start from a 50th place division start to a strong 7th place by "Top of W's." Jeremy maintained commendable pacing and positioning through the mid-race, holding 7th in his division through the 6.05-mile mark. Though he faced expected slowdowns in the high altitude last miles, he was notably swift between the 1 to 0.5 miles remaining markers with a pace of nearly 24 minutes per mile. This reflects a good effort in the toughest final sections. Returning to consistent training on steep and high-altitude terrains may improve the pace in these final miles.
